Counter Culture Living

Daniel 1:4-7 In the third year that Jehoiakim was king of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia attacked Jerusalem. The Lord let Nebuchadnezzar capture Jehoiakim and take away some of the things used in God’s temple. And when the king returned to Babylonia, he put these things in the temple of his own god. One day the king ordered Ashpenaz, his highest palace official, to choose some young men from the royal family of Judah and from other leading Jewish families. The king said, “They must be healthy, handsome, smart, wise, educated, and fit to serve in the royal palace. Teach them how to speak and write our language and give them the same food and wine that I am served. Train them for three years, and then they can become court officials.” Four of the young Jews chosen were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, all from the tribe of Judah. But the king’s chief official gave them Babylonian names: Daniel became Belteshazzar, Hananiah became Shadrach, Mishael became Meshach, and Azariah became Abednego.

one of his schemes is to assimilate us into his culture – in to the world. we can see him operating to do that to the young jewish leaders in daniels day. we are of the world but not of the world. while there are many wonderful things in our day there is also things that we should seperate ourselves from. i’m not talking seperatist life here but holy life. dont comprimise and be permissive. stand true to what you know God has said.

the enemy tried to change the names of daniel and his friends. he trys to change our destiny and our calling – he tries to cover up the truth with a lie and a falsehood.

Names and their meaning

Hananiah – God has favoured – to Shadrach – “of Shach”, which was a name of a god or goddess of the Chaldeans, they worshipped

Mishael – who God is – to Meshach – “the messenger the sun”

Azariah – GOd has helped – to Abendego – “a servant, or worshipper of Nego”. The word signifies “shining brightness”: which some understand of fire worshipped by them; others of the bright planet Venus; and others of Lucifer

Daniel – judge of God – to Belteshazzar – Bel hath hid and treasured (Bel is a idol)

Dont let anyone cover up your destiny. Dont let anyone hold you back.

Daniel 1:8 Daniel made up his mind to eat and drink only what God had approved for his people to eat. And he asked the king’s chief official for permission not to eat the food and wine served in the royal palace.

Daniel decieded to obey God and live counter culture. He made up his mind to obey God. He resolved himself to obedience and whle we know the end of the story, that he was tested and found to be more healthy and prosperous than his contepories who ate all the rich (and maybe idol offered) and unclean food, it could of led to his execution. He preferred death and punishment to disobedience.

He stood up and he stood out.

lets not comprimise and fit in. Let us instead shine like stars in the darkness.

Philippians 2:12-16 My dear friends, you always obeyed when I was with you. Now that I am away, you should obey even more. So work with fear and trembling to discover what it really means to be saved. God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him. Do everything without grumbling or arguing. Then you will be the pure and innocent children of God. You live among people who are crooked and evil, but you must not do anything that they can say is wrong. Try to shine as lights among the people of this world, as you hold firmly to the message that gives life.

Next: doing my project for TA

Suddenly I wake up in the morning, and told to get graduate soon. I am being rushed and felt not comfortable, want to changing my subject, but I already one year trapped in this project? with my base skill now I think I can solve the project's problem. But it's easy to say but hard to do it. when I give the task to make user login interface, I get confuse, I search any source on the internet but not found it. People think I will be quickly solve the problem, because they think the programming job is easy, so do my first assumption that programming is easy, in fact is really hard without have an experience and strong willed.

Indeed, I continued the project , and I get a speedy way out, not because I found from the internet but from discussion with my Tutor and inspiration from God. I really thankfull for that. Then, I meet the requirement to assign more task in that project. In Spite of I success finish my little task, I must be humble to receive the easy task and doing with my whole heart. May God be with me.

Production of Crane Toy Vending Machine

I was given by my Production Subject Head two task. First Task is to find any product which the component has a sub assembly, make some planning production process by break down every single part, and describe the production process detailed component and variant product. Second Task is create minimum 2 shoop floor assembly and the detail of assembly. That task must be done and try to presentate in front of class.

I pick the Crane Toy Vending Machine as a product. So I want to break down that Product.
The product has three main system: Main Structure, Electronic dan game mechanical device.

Indonesia Piracy and Patent

How to make a new product? Do we need? or we only going to immitate the original product?
As a student, I would choose using a fake one other than original for example my software in my computer is all immitate. But for my idealism, we must againts that piracy thing? the benefit maybe we can cut cost , but if it is from made in Indonesia, it can make that company become bancrupt. Nah, related to the my course that I take about Technopreneur.
I get a task to make a Bussiness Plan. The Lecture give me steps that you must to take to lauch your product into market. Steps that I must take are:
1.Identify the Bright Idea.
2. Identify the requirement.
3. Gather outside information(Market research, patent research)
4. The Design Phase
5. Prototyping
6. Production
Then, The Lecture give a hint that student can pass the step 1 and step 2 and jump to step 3, you can find from the patent database from outside your country and bring that patent to your country if that patent not yet taken in your country. if your company already get bigger, you can change the product so your product cant be sue by the holding patent.

So Piracy is allright in our country with prequisite you dont sell that product on the patent right country hold and no other man in our country who hold that patent before. without doubt if people in Indonesia can take that as an advantage that Indonesia will become one of the modern country and have pride in international.

then with that given a chance to get good education.
My hometown is Bandung. Actually Bandung is really worse than before, but I still love Bandung very much.

I studied mechanical engineering , I believe with my study now I can get better living. I still love playing games, and I love playing piano whether I only learning by myself. I am still single, but still happy without someone beside me. I really like eating Indonesian Food especially tahu, and tempe.
My Favorite color is Rainbow color. If I could describe myself, I am honest, shy and serious person, but sometimes I get a goofy style with reckless thing.

My likeness with goofy is a vest and blue jeans , I have tall body compare to common Indonesian people. Goofy give funny thing without crispy.
